There are few things I like more than meeting a dear friend for coffee and having a wonderfully intimate conversation over a steaming mug of caffeine. But sadly, in-person coffee (or tea) meet-ups have become a thing of the past in our COVID world, and let me be honest and say I miss them! But who is to say we can’t still come together and enjoy a beverage with each other with a bit of social distancing in place? Starting this Thursday, we’re inviting you to grab your own favorite mug, fill it up with your beverage of choice and sit down with Televerde’s Global Head of Marketing and Marketing Services as she explores the marketing world in bite-sized webinars with other industry leaders.
We caught up with Deanna Ransom to find out exactly what Morning Marketing Mug is all about.
First things first, what is Morning Marketing Mug?
The Morning Marketing Mug is a quick, bi-weekly, 15 minute conversation with key business stakeholders and thought leaders live over coffee where you’ll take away actionable learnings that can be put directly into your marketing strategy to gain value. Our goal is to be a partner in success as we’re all navigating the choppy waters of our current challenges both economically and socially. If we can add value, gather insights from prominent and respected thought leaders, engage with the marketing and business community and have coffee at the same time, I’m counting it as a huge win.
What’s your morning beverage of choice?
I start my mornings with a strong cup of Italian roast from Starbucks. It’s like putting gas in the tank to get through the day and it always puts a smile on my face.
What can we expect from this mini-webcast series?
It’s going to be relatable, actionable, conversational, and brief. The objective is to provide sales and marketing leaders and practitioners with bite-sized real-world insights, best practices and tips to not only navigate the current painful challenges we’re all facing, but to pivot strategies in a way that is digestible with meaningful impact and community support. The series will provide a library of insights and supplemental assets to shift, grow and win with help from experts and innovators. As a sales and marketing organization, Televerde is dedicated to not only helping our customers, but to helping business overall. This series is one way to make sure we’re giving the very best insights to support business because we are indeed in this together.
Can you give us a sneak peak into who we can expect to see as your guests?
I can! We are so dedicated to seeing business win at this time that we want to feature some of the foremost leaders and even our own customers to share their learnings and insights. I will not tell all, but here are a few of the names we have in our lineup:
- Robert Rose, chief strategy officer, Content Marketing Institute
- One of my former SAP colleagues and a true thought leader in the content space, Michael Brenner, CEO, Marketing Insider Group
- One of our customers, Ashvin Bapat, senior marketing director and head of digital marketing, GE Grid Solutions
- And my dear friend, Marketing Futurist and Chief Webinerd, Mark Bornstein, vice president of content marketing at ON24
Why do you think it’s important for marketers to share ideas, especially now?
Conversations and collaboration spark ideas. Many marketers go to shows and events to network and learn from one another which may have been cancelled or moved to virtual only. What we need more of now is conversation and networking from which to draw ideas. That’s hugely important right now as many have been remote working. Even if we’re attending virtual events, we’re not having the same dialogue or we may be missing that one thing that gives us an ah-ha moment. I like to say that those are the moments that we record in our minds and put in our bags to take back in a conversation with our teams where we’ll make the necessary adjustments or total pivot needed to win in this new dynamic. That’s why it’s so important that we share ideas right now. Even if we take the same idea away, we won’t all implement or action it in the same way so it works for everyone. That’s the beauty of collaboration and idea sharing at this time, we can all win together.
