Companies Have Shared more than 500 Actions That They Are Taking to Advance Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace Coalition Expands Reach and Impact into the Business Community
(March 12, 2019 – Phoenix, AZ)–Televerde, the purpose-driven global sales and marketing solutions provider, has joined the largest CEO-driven business coalition to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace. As one of more than 600 CEOs who have come together for CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, Morag Lucey is committing herself and Televerde to furthering a productive, diverse and inclusive workplace that welcomes the backgrounds, perspectives and experiences of all employees.
“Our focus on diversity and inclusion is at the heart of our values and how we hire and work at Televerde. We are proud to have a diverse workforce built on empathy and respect, and one that truly embraces each other’s uniqueness. Part of this commitment includes looking at all talent pools–especially those of disempowered communities such as the incarcerated women with whom we’ve worked for 25 years – in order to deliver the best work possible,” said Morag Lucey, CEO of Televerde. “I’m proud to sign my name to the CEO Action pledge to drive forward the conversation about diversity and inclusion in the workplace, increase understanding of unconscious bias, and raise awareness of the importance of fair chance hiring practices so that qualified individuals with criminal backgrounds can earn their place in business.”
By signing on to this commitment, Lucey has pledged to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion. The collective of more than 600 signatories have already shared more than 500 best known actions, exchanging tangible learning opportunities and creating collaborative conversations via the initiative’s unified hub, CEOAction.com.
Organizations joining the pledge are taking a step towards effecting positive change. A diverse and inclusive workforce facilitates community, but also drives innovation and creativity. A recent study found that 85 percent of those surveyed reported that diversity is a key component to fostering innovation. “We are so proud that we are continuing to build momentum and support for the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ across companies, industries, and regions. This collaboration expands our reach and brings in unique values, actions and perspectives to continue to raise the bar for the entire business community,” said Tim Ryan, U.S. Chairman and Senior Partner of PwC and chair of the steering committee for the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™. “The overwhelming support for the coalition has been amazing to see and with each and every new organization signing on, we have the opportunity to put our commitments into action by working together to improve diversity and inclusion in our workplaces and communities.”
