A Day on the Green That Builds Careers and Community

On Friday, Nov. 14, we’ll gather again — friends, partners, clients, families — at Stonecreek Golf Club in Phoenix for the Televerde Foundation’s third annual Swing FORE Second Chances Charity Golf Outing.

This will mark Televerde’s third year as Premier Sponsor, and while we’re proud of that role, what really fills us with pride is why we keep showing up.

It’s one thing to hear about the impact of second chances, but it’s something else entirely to experience it,” said Vince Barsolo, CEO of Televerde. “When you see Televerde alumni return to volunteer, families celebrating together, and partners coming back year after year, you realize this event isn’t just about golf. It’s about community, opportunity, and the lasting power of belief in people.”

At its core, the outing is about creating more opportunities for women to succeed (scorecards and trophies come second). Every dollar raised helps expand the Televerde Foundation PATHS program, ensuring more women can prepare for careers, reenter society confidently, and join us on the green in future years.

What’s Changed Since Last Year

A lot has changed since last year’s outing. For starters, seventy-one women have graduated from Televerde’s prison-to-workforce program! They’ve moved into careers at companies such as Earnix and Aventiv Technologies in roles like business development specialist and communications analyst.

These results are possible because of the Televerde Foundation PATHS curriculum, which offers comprehensive reentry support. Beyond career training and job placement, PATHS equips women to achieve financial independence, reconnect with their children, and strengthen family ties. By the time they leave prison, they possess both marketable skills and the confidence, stability, and support system to care for their families and succeed in competitive, growth-oriented careers.

Televerde corporate has also been part of that story, hiring nine women directly into our workforce. Like any company, we hire for talent. During their time on the inside, these women gain hands-on experience with enterprise technology, data analytics, sales, and marketing by working side-by-side with global clients. By the time they reenter society, they’re already proven professionals, which is why today they hold roles with us ranging from marketing generalist to website specialist, business intelligence specialist, and customer success supervisor.

Networking Is Top-Tier, Too

There’s no question that the Televerde Foundation outing is known as one of the best networking days of the year. Clients, partners, and leaders from across industries come together, not in a boardroom but on the fairway. Deals are made, new partnerships are sparked, and conversations happen in a relaxed, meaningful way. It turns out that supporting second chances is the common thread that connects people who might never otherwise cross paths.

What’s more, the outing itself is fun — laughter on the tees, raffles, contests, and a shared purpose that brings everyone together. But the real impact lasts long after the final putt drops. Funds raised fuel programs in career readiness, mentoring, financial literacy, and life skills — the building blocks that sustain women long after release.
