Veterans Day Message

Growing up, I was surrounded by tangible reminders of the sacrifices made by America’s heroes. I played with WWII army helmets marked by artillery fire and drank from canteens that had witnessed the intensity of battle. These heirlooms, passed down from family members who served in world wars, instilled in me a deep respect for their service and commitment. Today, as I reflect on the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and other global tensions, my concern for the future that awaits my sons and daughter deepens. Yet, in every military conflict, everyday people like you and me rise to the occasion, embodying the belief that they are part of something greater than themselves. While I’ve never borne arms for our nation, I stand ready to support those who bravely do.

As we prepare to recognize Veterans Day in the U.S. this Saturday, I’m reminded of the dedication and sacrifices made by countless men and women to safeguard our freedoms. Their unwavering spirit is genuinely commendable. This year is particularly poignant as we mark 50 years since our Vietnam veterans returned home and the 79th anniversary of D-Day, a defining moment in history. These milestones emphasize the courage of our service members and highlight our shared responsibility to support and uplift our returning veterans.

To our Televerde colleagues worldwide who have served, my heartfelt gratitude goes out to you. As Jose Narosky aptly said, “In war, there are no unwounded soldiers.” Your sacrifices, both visible and hidden, have shaped you, and it’s an honor to count you among our Televerde family.

Beyond expressing gratitude, we have a greater duty as citizens. Our true tribute to the men and women who fought for our freedoms lies in how we live our lives. It’s not just about saying thanks or paying for a meal (although those expressions are fantastic); it’s about making choices that contribute positively to our country and communities.

At Televerde, our core mission revolves around unlocking human potential, and there’s a profound depth to that. It’s not solely about the immediate impact on you; it extends to your families and communities. Staying the course, particularly when facing challenges, shows resilience and determination. It also acknowledges that our actions ripple out, fostering positive change that uplifts everyone around us. While it might not be at the forefront of our thoughts, our commitment is also a tribute to our veterans. Each stride forward, every accomplishment, echoes the sentiment, “This is how I’ve utilized the freedoms you’ve valiantly fought for.” Your tenacious drive to better yourself and reintegrate into society exemplifies our shared responsibility. It’s a call to honor our veterans by consistently striving for excellence and making every moment count.

In closing, let’s take a moment to think about the freedoms we often take for granted and the brave folks who made them possible. Their stories and sacrifices are constant reminders of what truly matters and should inspire us to live by those values every day.
